Diary Entry# 05/07/12 – Holiday to the beautiful Crete, Greece

I spent 8nights in the beautiful island of Crete, Greece.

After everything I’ve had to deal with over this past year it was a much needed rest… Well kind of, as we managed to pack so much into our short stay :-D .

It was absolutely beautiful we stayed in a gorgeous two storey villa within a hotel complex with a private poolside terrace with breath taking views of the coast and horizon. It was gorgeous though we hardly spent anytime there! We were out every morning exploring crete. We would only come back in the evening to eat, shower, change and head back out again for a night out.

Early morning view from our terrace

We were staying in a small traditional Greek village called Koutouloufari which was a short walk from the main resort Hessonisos where you had all the beaches, nightclubs and entertainment. We were also really close to party and drunk Brit central Malia where we went raving a couple of nights. Malia is full of under 25year old British tourists ready to party and get paralytically drunk. All the ‘mandem’ are just tryna ‘bang doe’ (english grime song). There were some cute guys… But what happens in Malia …. Loooool

Village of Koutouloufari

We went to different beaches and the water was so amazing I wouldn’t get out of it. I think we went to a beach 6 out of the 7days. So that detox I didbefore I went was sooo useful, *warning about to toot own horn* bikini bod was on point. I received many compliments out there and on viewing pics on return except  my big cousin who said ”next time wear a 1 piece and sarong” he said I had too much on show *snooooooooorrrreeeee*. Anyway we found the best beach in Crete on our penultimate day. The water was clear and the sand white.

complimentary cocktails from a gorgeous Grecian man just for being gorgeous bikini girls lol

On another day we hired bikes for a day and cycled to beaches in Stallis and Malia. We also got rides on the back of some greek guys motorcycles for our first night out to Malia. We went jet skiing, para-gliding, a boat ride and a beach party in Hesonnisos

These were frigging orgasmic

On the saturday we visited the city Heraklion to go to the markets. As I love going to markets abroad and trying all their fresh fruit and veg. And because we are clever little girls we didn’t get conned into booking a trip to the market which costs €19. Nope we got on the bus there for €3 return.

We also went to a traditional Cretian night. Up in the village. They had music and dancing in the square with fire and plate smashing, even whilst eating they kept dragging me up to dance . Oh and the food there was amazing!!! Grilled Halumi cheese, fried calamri, greek salad, fried sardines and a constant flow of Raki. Which is a traditional spirit made from grape skin (I think). Man that sh+t is strong – on the level of Jamaican white rum! they kept giving us more by the time I got in the taxi to the clubs I was totally wasted. That was one of my favourite evenings.

I was a mess after a few too many

The weather was crazy hot averaging 35 degrees. I always say  I don’t want to be a typical Briton walking around everyday streets and shops in a bikini whilst on holiday. When the local people are fully clothed. But damn some days I even wanted to fling of that bikini top loool.

The Greek people were so kind, warm and friendly. Some of the men slightly very pervy but we just took it on the chin. Can’t say the same for some of the Hungarian tourists we came across one night out – racists bastards is all I’ll say. But we didn’t let that spoil anything.

I will say us English have a terrible rep abroad though. A greek guy started speaking to us in dutch; when he noticed the dumbfounded expressions on our faces he said ‘you english?’ We nodded and he responded with ‘but you dress too nice to be english???’

I don’t think I’ve even covered half of everything we got up to (all legal … I think) as like I said we did and saw so much. Met great people and tanned like crazy.

Day 2!!!

If anyone is stuck for somewhere to go this summer I recommend KRETA!!

Kisses

      • Forget an Instagram! We want instapics lol!Nevertheless, you don’t blog about anything controversial,so I don’t see why you need to protect…Anywho, better off posting some pouty Snookie looking photos than none
