Forgot to mention in my last post that whilst I’ve been studying my butt off. I’ve been snacking my it back on. Lol. I’ve been making healthy food, having fruit and veg and taking my vitamins and I always drink plenty water. But when I sit at my desk I munch at chocalte cookies, crisps, sweets etc. Everyone says I look normal which to be honest I probably do because I lost a lot of weight when I was ill so I’m just back to my regular size (UK 10).
However I feel like I need to detox to rid the junk I’ve been scoffing. Detoxes always help your digestive system a rest and revive your skin etc. And also I wouldn’t mind dropping a couple pounds to ready me for my bikinis when I’m on holiday.
So starting today I’m going to do a 3day detox. Followed by a low carb diet for another week or so then just eat balanced meals from then on.
The three day detox will be based on a juice diet I once did. Where you loose 7bls in 7days by only having fruit and veggie juices. I did it for 6.5days (had to go to a wedding on the last day and was forced to eat) and lost about 7bls. It was great for the first 4days then after that I was miserable as anything just wanted to chew lol! I did look a bit skeletor by the end though.
This time I will just be using the recipes as a detox and only for 3days as I’ll be studying at the same time.
From thursday onwards I’ll introduce salads, with chicken/turkey pieces, seafood and tuna.
The juices are really good I actually have them all the time anyway to add to m 5-a-day but haven’t just had them with no other food since I did that diet. The recipes are from JM Juicemaster book I had a document with all the recipes but can’t find it but you can search them easily on the internet for anyone who’s interested. You might think ewwwl spinach and apples and celery but trust me all the juices taste great. I don’t even use a juicer too much work I just use a blender it works fine.
I’ve also not done any exercise in forever so I’m going to try and squeeze in a zumba class or two this week between revision and more regularly again once exams are over- missed being active.
Yeah that’s it really I’ll let you know how it goes. There are no snacks in my cupboards so I’ll have no choice but to stick to it.
Omg I’ve been MIA for soo long I know. I’ve just been incredibly busy words do not describe the stress I’ve been under the last couple of months.
As I’ve said previously I missed 3weeks of University earlier this semester after my operation then when I got back I was still really unwell. Anyway I had so much to catch up on with some help from my class mates and me pulling some long hours I did plus I was going into uni at 7:30am in the morning for 3-4weeks to catch up on my lab work for my project, going to lectures doing more coursework etc. Not forgetting my dissertation -hell on earth that was. I really don’t know how I did it and in time with everyone else. I managed to write 24,000 words 72 pages long. So that’s why I didn’t have much time to type anything else! I submitted that on the 10th of May (what would have been my 4th anniversary with mr x.. blah blah blah) Then straight away had to study for two exams 16th and 17th. I have been living on 4hours sleep a night for the last 5-6weeks. I have not been anywhere except uni and Walmart Asda (which I live next to). Its been crazy crazy crazy. I had another exam last Thursday and my next and final exam is Wednesday 6th june so this weekend gone has been my first break. The weather is gorgeous so its been some well needed down time.
So that’s where I’ve been – in hell! No seriously its been so rough; I guess because I’m doing my masters and final year all in one that I so wasn’t prepared for just how intense it would be. But I’ve kept going, you just do when you’re in the midst of it.
Oh and I booked a holiday today I’m off to Greece after I finish just before graduation with my girlies we’ve all been working so hard so it will be a nice reward. Supposed to be going to Italy also at the end of the summer to visit one of the guys on my course’s home town and Milan excited!
I will get back to blogging soon. Like I said been book bound for the last 2months so not done much. However somehow some updates still in order . I can’t wait to get back to reading you guys blogs too. I know you got lots in store for me.
